学生 media organizations offer a variety of ways for students to gain hands-on experience in media-related entities. Getting involved with these program-related student organizations can greatly enhance your educational experience by providing skills and professional practices. In the spotlight or behind the scenes, students use state-of-the-art technology while building lasting friendships. Participate in these organizations as early as your freshman year.

Media Student Association (MSA)

The Media Student Association (MSA) is an organization that serves the purpose of getting 媒体制作 and 博天堂官方网站, 广告, and 沟通s students more involved with their major. This organization will help School of 媒体与传播 (SMC) students get more involved with on-campus and off-campus organizations that fit their majors. Members can look to other members for advice on how to get 实习, 奖学金, and take more of a leadership role in organizations. This organization will also bring in speakers and alumni that have gone through the process of being an SMC major. Anything that is 媒体制作 and 博天堂官方网站, 广告 and 沟通s related to this organization will be involved with and provide assistance for the students to succeed as an SMC major. WBGU-FM

WBGU 88.1 FM is a 1,000 Watt FCC Licensed non-commercial station. The format of the station is freeform and focuses on promoting underground and underrepresented music. As of September 2008, the studio has been fitted with a new digital system. 教师 advisor: Stephen Merrill (smerill@bjqzgy.com)

Bowling Green Radio Sports Organization (BGRSO)

BG Reel Productions

Reel Productions is an open workshop for student-produced film-television-video-web projects in video format. 学生 explore interests in various genres, 包括娱乐, 新闻和新闻杂志, 功能, 纪录片, 和新词. After proposing and planning a production, final projects are distributed via the OSTN (Ohio Student Television Network).
